1 Peter 4:11b "If anyone ministers, let him do it with the ability which God supplies, that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom belong the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen."
2010 FAMILY UPDATE:
Kathleen continues to work full time in the ministry, visiting Mexico whenever there is time and assisting in Medical Clinics and outreaches in Mexico and in Texas. She also works part time (about 44 hours/week...ha!) as a private duty nurse in order to fund the ministry and help with the family and CELR expenses.
Mitch, who is now 73, stays at home and takes care of the kids and grandkids and continues to build and repair computers as a hobby and to make a little extra money. He is healthy and other than pain to the lower back at times he continues to be a great uplifter for the entire family.
Sondra broke her knee and leg this summer and after surgery and 2+ months in bed in external fixation she is finally walking again and looking for a job (her patient died while she was laid up in bed!). She still keeps busy running kids and working part time as it becomes available.

Joshua, now 18, is a senior in high school and on honor roll again. He is also engaged to Sabrina Perez. He has held his job at H.E.B. for 2 years now and just got a car of his own.
Steven, 13, still travels to Mexico with Gma whenever it is safe enough. He has taught himself to play the keyboards and plays the drums and bells in the school band. He's a teenager, please keep us and him in prayer!!!

Aylssa, 6, is doing well in school in her special ed classes due to her autism. She is always in a good mood and has a wonderful happy outlook on life and loves all kinds of animals.

Grandson Gary, 21, came to visit for Thanksgiving and we enjoyed him so much...pray we have lots more time together and that he gets a job in Maryland where he went to live near his sister, Tamara and our great grandkids, Edson, Lina, and Yogi!
Kathleen's sister, Roxane and her family are doing great and even tho cement jobs are scarce in Colorado, God is supplying their needs and of course those of Rebekah, 8, who is doing great in school and church.
Daughters Julie & Michele and their children are still in Salt Lake City, Utah. and sons Marc and Larry are in Colorado, while their daughters, Erica and Nikki, are in Ohio and West Virginia.

Kathleen's CELR sons, Michigan(Antonio), Jorge David, Jesus, Willian and Timoteo are in Altamira, Mexico now and Javier is in Honduras. It is a joy to be a part of their lives and watch them grow and minister in the Lord.
THE MEDINA FAMILY

Kathleen (center), Mitchell (at 9 o'clock), then clockwise is Joshua, 15, Rafa Alfaro, Sondra, Steven, 10, Alyssa, 3, and Rebekah Gallegos, 5. This is definately a family centered ministry and everyone helps out in all areas that they can - even Alyssa has helped sort meds and make up gift bags.
Mitchell, at age 71, continues to run the front office of the clinic and helps out with all the chores and ministry prep work at home. He's retired from the ministry about 3 times already, but keeps coming back at the Lord's calling.
Kathleen, getting older by the minute, is the nurse that runs the medical side of the clinic and the pharmacy and keeps it stocked. She also buys the meds and supplies and coordinates the groups, extra projects, and feeding programs. She also is very active in the grandkids lives and is the Alamo team sports grandma for baseball and football.
Joshua, 15, is a sports jock and honor roll student at PSJA Memorial HS. He helps out with the pharmacy and lab tests in the clinic and assists in keeping the medicine storage room cleaned up and organized. He plans to become a pharmacist. Please pray for his safety as he plays sports and that he gets accepted into the pharmacy program in college (and a scholarship would sure be a big relief to all of us!)
Rafa, owns and runs a small auto shop. He takes good care of his family and donates much of his earnings to the ministry. He also helps Mitch & Kathleen by having their yard cleaned and mowed on a regular basis. What a blessing he is to our family.
Sondra, works hard as a housewife and mother, as well as, assisting with the ministry in any way she can, including cooking for and helping with the groups that come to visit and work with us. She was recently laid off when the patient she had cared for the past 14 years died, so please pray for their finances. We pray she will be able to help more in the clinic when Alyssa gets into school in 2010.
Alyssa, keeps us all jumping. She is going to be a challenge, but she loves to help clean everything and sort the meds. We believe in having them start work in missions at an early age!
Rebekah, lives in Colorado with my sister, Roxane and hubby, Tony. She is sure a cutie and we hope she will be able to help in the ministry during summers when she's a little older.
Please pray for all of us as we go about serving the Lord!
MEDINA MEN
Pictured below are our sons Marc (L) and Larry (R) that we are back in contact with after several years apart. Marc moved to Texas with sister, Sondra, to help out the family and the ministry.Thank you, Lord, for restoring our family bit by bit!

ALFARO BOYS

Please also pray for Rafael (left) and David (right) who are Rafa's sons in El Salvador. Their mother was murdered several years ago and they really need to know the love of Jesus personally, as well as, getting to know their father better.
