Matthew 25:40 Jesus said,"...The truth is, anything you did for any of my people here, you also did for me."
Victoria Clinic is a free medical clinic in Reynosa, Tamps, Mexico. We began our clinic work in 1999 with two clinics in separate areas of Reynosa and in 2001 we merged them into Victoria Clinic in Colonia Almaguer outside of Reynosa. This enabled us to stock the pharmacy with a large variety of medications and focus our funds and medical abilities in a way that could better serve more patients and reach more souls for Christ. We continue to hold clinics on a monthly basis (closed in July) and currently have approximately 2000 patients we treat regularly. Patients are seen in order, based on appointments for diabetics, hypertension, seizures, pregnancy, wound care and other recurring illnesses. New patients and acute care patients are handled after the appointments and, of course, emergency situations are seen immediately. We can do minor surgeries (i.e. ingrown toenails, wart removal, stitches...etc.) Visiting doctors do other surgeries and attend patients. Visiting dentists can do teeth deep cleanings and extractions. All our staff is volunteer and all medications are given away free of charge. We are sponsored by a Mexican Doctor, who takes referrals for the patients we cannot help or that need hospitalization. All patients are ministered to, prayed for and taught biblical lessons by our Mexican Pastor, Guadalupe, who then tries to get them connected with a church close to their home and does home visits when needed.
If you have a doctor, dentist, or medical group that would like to do a short term medical mission please contact us for further information.
March 2009: Dr. Jimmy came from Alabama to do surgeries on many brave souls....lumps, cysts, moles, warts, skin tags, and other types of skin abnormalities were removed.

Danny Cottrell (in white cap), our favorite pharmacist, came to help out in the clinic and organize the pharmacy, shown here with Ross, from Austin (who's wife Sandy-not shown- assisted the Dr.), and some other helpers form Alabama. Danny is our biggest supporter in the ministry and we thank him for all he does for us and for the people of Mexico.

Below, Dr. Leo sees a patient in the clinic with Ana Maria who translates for him - what a great job they do!

Here, Nurse Julie B takes care of a mentally and physically challenged young lady, who we were able to bless with a wheel chair - before that her mom was carrying her because it is so hard for her to walk.

Our March medical workers group - after several days of work we don't look so bad do we? Where's Mitch at?

February 2009 brought us Dr. Wyatt, who did some amazing dental work on lots of people with the help of my daughter, Sondra. What a blessing to these people!

Dr. Wyatt a young mother that had 9 teeth extracted.

Sondra teaches everyone how to brush their teeth correctly!

Jan 2009: This man (below) was very happy with his new wheel chair that was donated through the clinic, he was hit in the spine with a stray bullet about 20 years ago and paralyzed from the waist down. He had worn his old chair out and had a rope as a foot rest, now he rides for miles every day for exercise and to tell everyone about Jesus.

Brown recluse spider bite on a young girls leg. Sept. 2008.

Diabetic foot after toe removal and lacking good wound care. We put him on antibiotics, cleaned the wound up, showed him how to care for it and provided him with bandages and supplies. It is now 100% healed - Praise the Lord! Aug. 2008

A perfect example of scabies, tracts and all. This young child was treated in Dec. 2008. God is good!

This lady first came to us when she was 8 months pregnant, but we couldn't find a heartbeat on the baby...after ordering and paying for an ultrasound we had to inform her the baby was dead. We sent her to the hospital for a D & C and put her on prenatal vitamins. Now one year later she has a healthy new baby and is praising the Lord. God is good!

Faithful pharmacy volunteers, Sarah, Linda, and Jeanine. We couldn't do it without them and pray blessings on them all.

Medical supplies donated to the clinic...what a blessing!

April 7, 8, 2008 Clinics
Clinics went well in April, with removing all the stitches and trying to fill all the prescriptions of the patients until Aug. where they were in stable condition. Here is Dr. Leo Yoder removing stitches from the head surgery patient.
And here was the end result of the surgery....what a difference! Praise God!

March 29 to April 1, 2008
Dr. Adkisson and Pharmacist Danny Cottrell from Alabama came down to do surgeries for 3 days. All together we performed surgery on about 65 patients, with several patients having multiple warts, growths, or moles removed. These surgeries are life changing for some of the people there, as many have lived with facial defects and growths for years. Following are some pictures of the great work they did.

This young man had this subaceous cyst for 30 years. When we removed it, we found it was filled with a huge ball of hair. Hope to have a picture of the final healed results in next day or so. Below, see a part of the surgery in progress.

Add a little anesthesia. and 30 minutes of work.

See the results above after removing the stitches.
Waiting room full of patients.
Front office, charts, and patients sign in handled by Mitch.
Vital signs and histories are done by Rosie.
Kathleen consults with patients & family.
Pastora Guadalupe ministers to patients.
Dentist Keith Miller does an extraction, we have facilities to do cleanings and extractions. If you have a dentist that wants to volunteer, please let us know.
These girls were interns at Corazon Grande Orphanage and volunteered to help us out by counting lots of pills and labeling meds for the June clinic. Thanks, you saved the day!

Clinic Pharmacy is very well stocked.
Visiting Dr. Jimmy & Sandy, RN, perform minor surgery.
Mexican volunteer, Paloma, does wound care.
Yvonne & Debbie steralize instruments.
Grandson, Joshua, checks blood sugar.
Kathleen with Yorma and his sister. Yorma came to us about 4 years ago unable to walk due to a hip problem. After several casts and about a year of treatment , which the ministry helped pay for, he can now walk and run without any pain at all. He still stops and hugs us every time we see him.
Martha, a helping RN, picks up my mess on the pharmacy floor. Missionaries must have an extra dose of humble pie! Martha qualifies after working until 1am preparing for June patients and then all day running the pharmacy. What a blessing!
